Content and Operations Intern
POSITION OVERVIEW
itsBarbieJane is a growing training and development company focused on personal development, leadership, sales, service, and interpersonal skills. We are looking for a creative, organized, and self-driven Content & Operations Intern to support the growth of our brand through content creation, marketing, and operations.
This internship is ideal for students interested in marketing, communications, media production, business management, public relations, or entrepreneurship. Interns will gain hands-on experience in content creation, social media strategy, project coordination, and brand development.
-QUALIFICATIONS-
- Currently enrolled in a university program (preferably Communications, Marketing, Business, Media, or related fields)
- Strong interest in content creation, marketing, or media production
- Basic video editing skills (or willingness to learn)
- Proficiency with Canva is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Creative mindset and willingness to experiment with new ideas
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
-KEY RESPONSIBILITIES-
Content Creation & Social Media
- Create and edit short-form videos (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
- Design graphics, thumbnails, and promotional assets in Canva
- Assist in maintaining the social media content calendar
- Repurpose existing content into short-form posts and graphics
- Track social media engagement, reach, and monthly analytics
Website Management & Email Marketing
- Assist in updating and maintaining the WIX website (content updates, landing pages,
blog posts, visuals, etc.) - Help optimize pages for clarity, branding, and user experience
- Upload course descriptions, workshop info, and new offerings as needed
- Support the development and scheduling of email campaigns through MailChimp
- Prepare email drafts (newsletters, updates, tips, promos) based on provided themes
- Update email lists, segment audiences, and track performance metrics
Operations & Project Coordination
- Organize digital files, content folders, and project materials
- Assist with scheduling, reminders, and maintaining project timelines
- Help prepare materials for workshops, trainings, and events
- Support the production of reports (social media analytics, website traffic, email
performance, etc.) - Draft checklists, outlines, and simple admin documents as needed
- Ensure consistent brand organization across platforms (social, website, email
