2026 Summer Horticulture Internship – University of Guam Horticulture Laboratory  

The University of Guam Horticulture Laboratory is seeking student trainees and interns interested in assisting with horticulture research. This is a paid internship through NextGen COMPASS. It offers hands-on experience in both laboratory and field settings across multiple areas of applied plant science and crop production.

Type of Work to Expect: Mix of lab work and field work, focusing on areas such as: 

  • Genetics 
  • Plant tissue culture 
  • Biochemistry 
  • Crop management & nursery work 
  • Pest management 
  • Harvesting 
  • Data analysis 
  • Value-added product development
