About Us:

Who We're Looking For: 

  • Students with a CHamoru Studies / Historical background

We Are Seeking Interns Who Are: 

  • Interested in applying their knowledge in CHamoru / Micronesian Studies into an office that seeks to track, document, and update the Guam Historic Properties Inventory.

What Your Role and Responsibilities look like: 

  • Entry-level, on-the-job training of reviewing existing archeological reports
  • Assist in conducting supplementary research
  • Work closely with historic preservation staff to verify historic data
  • Tracking nominations and conducting surveys to identify historic properties
  • Assist in the regular update of the Guam Historic Properties Inventory

Duration and Time Commitments: 

  • 90 Hours
  • Internship positions available year round!

You Can Gain: 

  • Experience working in government agencies and historical preservation
  • Can be counted for course credit (please check with the appropriate major-specific professors!)
  • Can lead into a Anthropology II position
  • Networking opportunities
