About Us:

GHURA's main mission is to “promote the health, safety and welfare of Guam’s people by the elimination of slum and blight conditions, by the orderly redevelopment and renewal of communities, by proper planning of community development and by provision of safe, decent and sanitary dwellings for low to moderate-income families, through all available federal and local governmental programs and through encouragement of Guam’s private enterprises to participate in the common task of improving our island community, while upholding family values.” At GHURA, we are dedicated to strengthening families and building communities one building project at a time. 

Who We're Looking For:

  • Senior Students with a background in Engineering
  • Students who have a strong sense of work ethic and dedication to their tasks

We Are Seeking Interns Who:

  • Have strong communication skills
  • Have a strong grasp of mathematics and engineering concepts

What Your Role and Responsibilities look like:

  • Assist and coordinate with contractors
  • Assist during site inspections and visits
  • Able to check work quantity and estimations

Duration and Time Commitments:

  • May depend on course requirements
  • Minimum 10 hours per week

You Can Gain:

  • Course credit for engineering internship course
  • Experience and exposure to work in the engineering field, exposure to off-site projects, hone engineering skills,
  • Experience to see what it's like to work at GHURA / government agencies, office structure, and collaborating in a team environment
