About Us: WERI's mission is to conduct applied research and provide education on freshwater resources in Guam, CNMI, and FSM. We focus on exploration, production, distribution, and management, while also addressing broader scientific topics regionally and internationally. WERI trains environmental scientists and promotes integrity in environmental science application.

Who We're Looking For: 

  • Students seeking to expand on office administrative skills and knowledge through an internship

We Are Seeking Interns Who:  

  • Have good communication skills
  • Pay good attention to details
  • Have skills in accounting and excel
  • Are familiar with document management (Word Processor, Adobe Acrobat, PDFs, and other similar documents)

What Your Role and Responsibilities Could Look Like: 

  • Support daily administrative operations through email correspondence, record keeping, and adhering to policy and procedures
  • Assist in research and financial tasks through data entry and reporting

Duration and Time Commitments:   

  • Available for students to apply year-round
  • Part-Time/Seasonal Internship
  • Flexible scheduling depending on class schedule and/or internship requirements

You Can Gain: 

  • Insight into how grants are financially handled
  • Experience in administrative, database, and financial management
  • Experience in administrative work for a research institute
  • Unpaid but open to allowing experience to be counted for course credit
