Document Control Intern

Area of Interest: Business Administration, Construction Management, Project Management 

Duties and responsibilities: 

Intern candidates will work side by side with KHLG Project Team as assigned with duties to include organizing and filing of project documents, creating project document logs, tracking correspondence, various project administration duties as assigned by the Construction Manager.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Organization
  • Ability to listen and follow directions
  • Able to work in a group or independently
  • Communication skills
  • Detail oriented

Preferred Skills (Soft and/or Technical): 

  • Microsoft Office Applications

KHLG & Associates would be interested to have a part time intern during the semester, and possibly transition to full time status over the summer break.

Students will gain valuable HANDS-ON experience, getting paid while earning their degree. KHLG is a small engineering company, with big job projects. Interns will have the opportunity to learn a variety of disciplines, (engineering, construction management), giving them a better understanding of real project situations.

What skills can student expect to gain?

Students will learn and experience real job site activity. All aspects of construction management and being part of a team in charge of managing important government projects, with assignments key to the success of a completed government building or structure. Interns will be trained to use Procore, an electronic data management system, used as a collaboration tool for construction projects.
